Stop & Shop Linens of Love Bake Sale

Linens of Love held another bake sale this year on November 5th, 2016 at the Stop & Shop on 112 Amity Road. New Haven, CT 06515. The goal of the bake sale was to start a conversation with the community about our mission and also fundraise to buy more bed bug mattress covers to supply homeless shelters.

This year’s bake sale was extra special because we joined forces with the 2017  Confirmation Class of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. With their help, we had hundreds of baked goods to entice community members for hours. Thanks to all the participants; Maria Gilbride and Michele O’Brien for organizing and the class; Julia Vinci, Maddy Mackay, Sophie O’Brien, Austin Gilbride, Sebastian Gonzalez, Marcello Colonna, John Martinello, Joseph DiReinzo, and Cassidy Macnamara.

If you or your organization is interested in getting involved with Linens of Love, please contact us here.

Maria Gilbride joins the students in baking assortments of cookies, brownies, and chocolate bark.
The students gather after loading the car with their generous donations of linens, toiletries, and freshly baked goods.
