Abbate Staff Helps Out with Linens of Love

We want to send a big thank you to all of the Abbate Insurance Agency staff that recently helped sort, organize, and send out handmade blankets to Columbus House and the New Reach Women & Children’s Shelters. These blankets were very much appreciated by all of those who received them! Thank you to those who donated, as always- your donations give these individuals in the homeless community a little extra love this holiday season!

Columbus House Drop-off

This week, we were happy to bring a donation of 75 new sheet sets to Columbus House for them to use at their overflow shelter. We also supplied handmade lap blankets for Columbus House’s Medical Respite Program. It is always so fulfilling making these deliveries and we are excited to share more in the upcoming weeks!

Amity Club Grant Recipient Dinner 2018

We are so grateful to have received another generous grant of $2,500 from the Amity Club of New Haven for the second year in a row! The Grant Recipient dinner took place on Tuesday May 15th at Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven. It was a lovely evening acknowledging many organizations that work so hard to better the lives of others. With this money Linens of Love will be able to continue our mission and expand our reach even further. Thank you so much to the Amity Club!

Amity Club Grant Recipient Dinner

We were honored to receive a generous grant of $2,500 from the Amity Club of New Haven. With this money we will be able to purchase bed bug mattress covers to increase the longevity of the beds at the homeless shelters we support. This is just one of the ways Linens of Love helps those without a home. Thank you to the Amity Club for allowing us to continue our mission!

The Journey of Your Donations at Linens of Love

At Linens of Love, no matter the type or size of donation, we are ever grateful to each of our donors. With many organizations, once you have donated, it is hard to say if your donated goods truly went anywhere beyond the warehouse or storage room. When you donate to Linens of Love, your donations are given to shelters and individuals in need within a 2-3 weeks of arrival at our drop-off location. Continue Reading
